SW+CS+Bio+Image.jpg — Architect, Colin Smith & Landscape Architect, Stefanie Weinmann started collaborating informally in 2001, Setting up Methodic Practice in 2002 following the design & construction of a series of small, private landscape projects in the UK & Germany.
Their shared interests lie in the often oppositional, overlapping and mutually beneficial elements of architecture & landscape architecture and borrowing approaches from each discipline to establish renewed design & practice methodology towards a common goal.
Both Stefanie & Colin are inspired to challenge the constraints and redefine the potential of each project, no matter the size and work in close collaboration with clients, contractors and consultants in order to maintain a truly hands-on approach.

Stefanie Weinmann

Stefanie cares greatly for the environment and gives much consideration to the impact of both our personal and business activities in order to adopt practices that work in harmony with our surroundings. She qualified in Germany and the UK and has over 20 years experience designing and delivering private and public landscape design including areas that promote environmental conservation and sacred spaces.

Colin Smith

BA(Hons)Arch Dip Arch ARB RIBA

Colin has a background working as lead consultant on private & commercial housing schemes, and combines a socially oriented approach to architecture with considerable knowledge & passion for timber construction in particular.His experience & skills range across masterplanning, new build and retrofit of commercial and private development with built projects that include places of work, industry, and worship.
