DESCRIPTION
This upper storey flat in a typical Victorian terrace in Clapham is transformed by opening up the unused roof space and uniting the functions of Kitchen and Living room beneath.
Revealing the vaulted roof in this way has created a light and open informal ‘living space’ and freed the old kitchen to be remodelled into additional ensuite bedroom.
Inspired by the ‘industrial warehouse style’ this modest refurbishment uses exposed steelwork and simple finishes to give a new expression to the interior of this period shell.
